The CCM Training Project
Background
The EU Commission DG JLS has approved the application of AGEF for the implementation of the CCM Training project. AGEF has made the application in cooperation with project partners from the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. The project will be carried out from 1. October 2007 to 31 March 2009.
Project objectives
In order to achieve the overall objective - the sustainable return of migrants - , this project aims at developing a structured co-operation between member-states and countries of return with respect to return management. Our aim is to make sure that the return is sustainable. Details of the project goals can be found here.
In order to optimize a sustainable return of migrants within the CCM approach, excellence has to be met on the one hand by the management of the institutions participating in the CCM return net and on the other hand by their counsellors working with the returnees within a case management approach.
Counsellors of different host countries and different institutional background have to cooperate with counsellors in different return countries facing different cultural and professional background. Their concerted activities require intensive training and adjustment of working behaviour in host and return countries, if sustainable return shall be achieved. Here it is essential that the two groups are trained together in order that they have a direct possibility to exchange their points of view, their respective national, cultural or administrative frame conditions. The training will be initiated within the EU and continued on an internet based working and learning platform.
